Look! This is how a nice and sound Sunday dinner should end up. No fighting. No politics. No scheming. No prozac for desert.
Just happiness, and a knife, a fork and a spoon. The Fashionaires & Billy Reed.
perfect with a cup of tea!
Australia Day is a special day for me.
In 1788 three of my ancestors came to Australia on the First Fleet. It was not their choice to come but the choice of the British government of the day. Okay, they perhaps made a bad decision that help to plot their destiny, but little did they know that their mistakes would lead them to the other side of the world. We all make mistakes.
Two of them, William Eggleton and Mary Dickenson married only a month after arriving in Sydneytown. Their grand-daughter married the son of Philip Devine .. and the four generations later came me.
Inspired by my friend Tom, I decided to make this “mixtape” of Australian music, in celebration of Australia Day. It is some of my favourite music, a mixture of jazz, rock, instrumental, indie and Aboriginal artists.
